Facebook Works for Retirees!

It is said that 4,500,000,000 people use Facebook. It has great potential for recording your activities and sharing them broadly.  On June 30, 2022, national Alliance for Retired Americans presented a webinar to help retirees use it fully. The recording is available free at https://youtu.be/EYUbIF8604E.

It’s easy to go to Facebook.org and start your account. It’s easy to post pictures and text.  Videos post just the same as pictures. It’s also easy to use “facebook live” from your phone to post videos of events while they are going on.  Retirees who use zoom may have the option to post their meetings, all or in part, on Facebook live.

As you grow more familiar with Facebook, you may start to look for ways to expand your reach to more viewers. If you have an organization account, Facebook encourages you to pay for expanded reach. There are also a number of ways to improve your reach without paying. The best one is to use “invite friends” on organization pages that you want people to see.

The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans encourages all supporters to to to our page at http://texasretiredamericans.org and invite their friends to view it.

"Invite Friends" to "like" our Facebook page. Spread the word!

Click on the three dots “***” to get the drop down menu, then click on “invite friends.” You can either select all your friends or just pick through them for people you think might be interested in retiree activism.

I forgot to mention one important thing: Facebook is fun!

In solidarity,
