What’s Next After “No Kings?”
Your Texas Alliance for Retired Americans did well at the March 28 protest day. All seven of our Texas chapters participated. Some of us had tables or leafleteers at several events .
We Don’t Stop
You’re invited to our next planning session at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 1. If you’re in Dallas, join us at 334 Centre Street. If not, use your phone or computer to join us with this link:

We’ll be considering candidates for endorsement and planning more action. If you have a red cap or some kind of headgear, wear it because we’re planning to video a stunt together. Hint: It involve our slogan to “scrap the cap” and let billionaires pay Social Security all year long.
May 1st Is the Next Big One
No Kings had 3,300 protests and 8 million participants in the U.S.. There were also demonstrations in the major cities of the world! But May 1, International Workers Day, will be bigger worldwide because it has been celebrated all over the globe since 1886. Americans are just now catching up.
Speaking of catching up, the union movement joined No Kings Day big time, and they have already started May Day Strong to prepare for the worldwide tidal wave of protest. The Texas AFL-CIO is cooperating with unions to teach us how to build the biggest and strongest possible May 1st.
May 1 falls on a Friday. People are going to be asked to take off work to protest. This may be the first time since 1886 that workers around the world have been asked to miss work on the same day! It’s easy for retirees to take off work. We may be the mainstay of the movement!
Join the fight! Join the Texas Alliance for Retired Americans!
In solidarity
