Seniors In the Fray!
Your TARA leadership has approved three endorsements:
- Marcos Velez for Lieutenant Governor
- Nathan Johnson for Attorney General
- Venton Jones for State Rep District 100
All three are in runoff races May 26. We have four more applicants in our endorsement pipeline and more are expected soon. The TARA endorsement is the only Texas senior’s endorsement and is a very valuable thing for a candidate to get!
Elections Aren’t Everything
Our retiree movement has gigantic opportunities coming up on March 28 and May 1. Around ten million Americans will be hitting the streets in opposition to the political powers. Most of them will have no connection to activist organizations, but they will be looking.
See http://nokings.org for a map showing the many events already scheduled for March 28. Please try to have a presence at as many of them as possible. Have a table if you can. If you can’t, fill your pockets with leaflets and make sure to engage with the protesters.
