Retirees Schedule Week of Fightback

Protests Cuts and Layoffs January 14

  • January 14 is a National Day of Action for the American Federation of Government Employees. A growing number of protests are being organized. (see map)
  • Cuts and layoffs mean that Texas seniors, especially in rural areas, will have even more trouble getting the help they must have

  • On the day before the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, we note that the layoff victims and suffering seniors are both disproportionately African American
