Celebrate What We Have, and Struggle for More

Texas retirees celebrated the anniversaries of Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security, July 30 and August 14 respectively. The Austin Chapter made arrangements to bring a table to different organizations and events. Most chapters combined the two anniversaries, but Dallas held 3 separate events.

Judy Bryant brought a birthday cake to an assisted living facility. She also brought one to a special luncheon that starred Congressman Marc Veasey. Horace Blake brought a cake to our street action on July 30th.

State Treasurer Mary Ann Climer is still receiving the receipts for the outlays from different chapters and individuals. She is also accepting checks to “TARA,” P.O. Box 225091, Dallas Tx 75222-5091 and on line through the little blue and yellow donate button under my signature.

We are doing everything we can think of for Texas retirees!
