Get Ahead!
In 2023, we’ll be fighting major battles to defend and extend retiree rights. The U.S. Congress is already in session, and the Texas Legislature starts January 10. Both of them have big challenges and opportunities for retirees. In many areas, local elections will be underway before March.
APPLY NOW TO VOTE BY MAIL ALL YEAR
Texans have to re-apply every year to vote by mail. If you are confident that you can handle the tricky Texas application, get one from your local elections office or download one with instructions from http://vote.org. If you start early and make a mistake, you will have plenty of time to correct it.
If you aren’t fully confident, go to our 2023 instructions on this web site by clicking this:
Join with Other Retirees
We are pathetically weak when we are separated, but we are mighty when united. The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans invites you to join us. Under the “Texas Groups” tab on this site, you can find the contact info for the active group closest to you. We meet monthly both on-line and in-person.
You can get more information at https://actionnetwork.org/forms/info-needed?source=direct_link&. If you are ready to join and want to help with finances, send a $10 check to Treasurer Elaine Jones, 1402 Seville Circle
Portland, TX 78374 or just click the yellow and blue button below. Better yet, click the button and make a “recurring” monthly donation.
In Solidarity,
Gene Lantz, State President
