Texas Retiree Election Results
Election results show that voters have stood up against all anti-democratic attacks. Big money, gerrymandering, lackluster office holders, and the worst voter suppression since Jim Crow did not succeed in breaking our faith in democracy. TARA activists made thousands of retiree-to-retiree phone calls and helped several other pro-retiree organizations. We used postcards, webinars, and street actions. In short, we did everything we could think of!
National Alliance for Retired Americans guided efforts in every state and directly endorsed federal candidates. Here is their list from Legislative Director David Simon:

Because there are runoffs pending, TARA is not finished with the 2022 elections. Our efforts not only help working families win, they also strengthen the long-term progressive movement. Expect us to keep at it, because we will!
