Victory and Further Battle

The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans joined a successful lawsuit to restore straight ticket voting! I believe our plaintiff in the suit was Reverend Harmon Dent of Beaumont.

Congratulations to Reverend Dent and to all the fighting members of Texas Alliance.

The election battle is underway. State Organizer Judy Bryant is training telephone outreach activists. In our first round of calling, we are making sure that every retiree is registered and planning to vote. Where possible, we encourage everyone to vote by mail.

The tide is with us! As soon as every Texas retiree finds out that Social Security and Medicare are already being destroyed, they will hurry to vote!
