Telephone: Our Main Technology
I’ve checked with the experts, and all agree that telephoning is the main way to reach seniors.
After we used every telecommunications idea we could think of, the Texas Alliance for Retired Americans began phone banking. Terry Dunn, in the picture, is an organizer for the Walmart campaign who pitched in to help. We were at the Alliance/AFT Hall in Dallas, 334 Centre Street. We’ll continue working from there through mid-August, because we have so many activities concerning Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
The last event presently scheduled is August 25 in Corpus Christi. We’re calling into 7 different cities for this round of actions. The more callers we have, the more people we can reach and the better organized Texas Seniors will be.
