Win for Texas Seniors
Dallas TARA Chapter is holding a fund raising luncheon at 12:15PM on August 7th at the Charco Broil, 413 W Jefferson Blvd. We’ll be honoring Judy Bryant, our organizer who just got out of hospital, and Social Security’s birthday. Congressman Marc Veasey will be there to help.
Our efforts have helped to swing the mighty senior vote toward the candidates who help us and away from those who would cut Social Security and other senior programs. We have ambitious plans to work with labor and win in November, but it’s going to require some funding.

Savvy seniors aren’t deciding how to vote by looking at the candidates nor the political parties. We’re looking at the issues and we’re making every effort to help other voters prioritize those critical issues. We did a successful news conference on Social Security June 22 and we have a Speakout on Health Care at 11AM July 30 outside 1408 N Washington. It’s the anniversary of Medicare/Medicaid. August 7 will be about Judy and Social Security. We’ll meet at 11AM August 8 with Mid-Cities activists at 2218 E Main in Grand Prairie. Then we’ll plan another Social Security event for August 14.
