TARA Sticks It Out

Texas retiree activists will continue putting the “move” in “movement” during 2021. Our January 9 fund raiser must undergird another year of battling for retiree rights. We are currently asking for large and small donations to be sent to Treasurer Teresa Perez-Wiseley, 909 Theresa Ave, Austin TX 78703-4735. TARA hasn’t missed a meeting during this pandemic.  We are currently working with national on phone banking to get out the vote in the Georgia Senate election. National organizer Brendan Kelly writes, “We’re adding weekend phone banks. Join us in the zoom room starting at 2PM ET and bring your friends to get trained and on the phone with retired Georgians eager to hear their voices. You will find a full calendar of our phone banks through January 5th Election Day attached to this email with a link to register.”

As soon as the New Year rolls around, our vote-by-mail committee will urge eligible voters to continue our great gains. Applications can be filed January 1 to cover all 2021 elections.
