Gather Info, Gather Strength

TARA activists carry tables and chairs to events. It’s relatively easy to gather people’s names, emails, zip codes, and phone numbers if we just set up a table.

For seniors like us, it is sometimes difficult to carry a table and a chair around. I found a solution recently by buying a rollator that will hold a small table in front of it. Cost was $119.

I rolled my table 10 city blocks to a public demonstration, then unfastened the table and sat down in the rollator.  The rollator has a bag that holds my banner and the petition form I was using to gather people’s contact information. It worked great!

After the event, I type the information info a spreadsheet. Then I write emails to all the new contacts with a big “thank you” and letting them know that I am going to put their names in our data base if they do not object.

With every new contact, we grow stronger!
