Celebrating and Working Even Harder

Across Texas, retirees are celebrating today for it is the anniversary of the best government program ever invented: Social Security. Our chapters in every metropolitan area are holding parties and other events. Everybody can join the Austin Social Security Party 1 PM tomorrow, Thursday August 15, at the Lamar Senior Activity Center, 2874 Shoal Crest OR on Zoom. Register in advance HERE.

In Dallas, where I live, we held a mighty fund-raiser for political money on August 7.  Congressman Marc Veasey spoke.

The Work Goes On

Dallas activists are swinging into action again on Saturday, August 17, to defend the Dallas Black Dancers who lost their health care when they were fired for trying to organize. We’ll join their rally and picket around 1:30PM at 2700 Ann Williams Way.

No one need explain the stakes in the 2024 elections. We are doing everything we can think of. Please join us.
