Good News for Texas
Good news aplenty came on June 1. The Texas Democrats have assigned our room for the convention in San Antonio: It’s Club Level 4, Meeting Room 209. All our friends and interested parties will join together there at 12:30PM on June 17.
We started our June 1 Dallas Chapter meeting with an appreciation of Jennifer Fulbright, who has been in charge of the Postal Employees’ hall where we meet. In appreciation, Judy Bryant awarded her a nice floral arrangement.
Then the good news got even better. Our $1,000 grant from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) enabled organizer Judy Bryant to buy four brand new I-PADS. Judy used them to increase the “computer savvy” of the Dallas activists, and she’ll be using them to improve our abilities throughout Texas. Judy thanked the tech department of the national Alliance for Retired Americans for helping with this important project.
The Dallas group had a lengthy and productive discussion about our electoral activity in this critical political year.
