We Remember Our Workers!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Texas has more workplace deaths than any other state. The number of injuries are also not accurately documented for many reasons, including failure of employers and insurance companies to even report accidents.  Texas workers struggle to be counted.

Dallas TARA-EF members recently  met at UAW 276 in Grand Prairie for a short “We Remember” service, led by Rev. Ed Middleton, to celebrate Workers Memorial Day. They gathered around the only actual memorial stone in Texas to hear Rev. Middleton honor workers with special visions for their lives which were cut short by workplace injuries and deaths.  Members then joined TARA-EF President Gene Lantz and Field Organizer Judy Bryant inside for cake and coffee.
