The Alliance National Legislative Conference is July 7th to 10th. During the Conference there will be a Lobby Day when we will meet with representatives and either express our concerns or thank for support.  There are many issues and pending Congressional and Supreme Court decisions that are of great concern for retirees and seniors and for our families. Among them are Social Security, Medicare, the Affordable Care Act and the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). In Texas we have yet to expand Medicaid.

July 16 at 4 PM, we hold a Texas conference at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel in Austin. Judy Bryant is working on arranging rides.

The May 29th event honoring Congressman Marc Veasey was a great success. Many thanks to all who bought tickets and sponsored tables. Marc is a rare representative, not only for Texas but for the rest of the nation.

This year Medicare turns 50. We must celebrate this great accomplishment of our people and fight to preserve, strengthen and expand it so that we and our descendants can continue to receive the best health care that medicine can provide.
