Ft Worth to Hold Last Meeting Before Elections

Retirees like Jim Rivers (pictured) are doing a lot of phone banking to get out the vote November 4. Tarrant County seniors can help out by calling Dennis Anderson at 972 816-6504. In Dallas, call Pam Resendiz at 214-826-4808. Vote-by-mail applications are due at County Elections Offices by October 24. A get-out-the-vote rally is scheduled at 10 AM on October 20, the first day of early voting in person, at the Records Building in downtown Dallas. It’s across Elm Street from the Old Red Courthouse. Jim Rivers sent the following invitation:

The Fort Worth Alliance for Retired Americans monthly meeting is this Wednesday. This will be our last meeting before the Mid-term and Texas State elections.  Many of you are busy with election campaigns but we need to begin discussion of Senior and Retiree related campaigns and actions following the elections.
