Austin Chapter of Texas Alliance for Retired Americans Rallies for Medicare/Medicaid

The Austin Chapter of Texas Alliance for Retired Americans held one of the 90 nationwide celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Medicare/Medicaid on July 25. Congressman Lloyd Doggett joined a program of luminaries, music, and information all designed to fortify our movement to defend and expand this important health insurance program. The President of the Texas AFL-CIO, John Patrick, joined Doggett on the platform.

At least 125 people attended.

Let’s re-commit ourselves to preserving and expanding Medicare!
