Grow With Houston TARA!

The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans is growing! Thanks to members of HFT, APWU, CWA, AFSCME, SOAR (USW), IAM-CW and the Community who aided this growth. They recently met at the Ceole Speight House of Labor with TARA-EF Field Organizer Judy Bryant to officially form a new Houston TARA-EF chapter. TARA President Gene Lantz stated, “We have been working to grow our retiree movement in Houston for some time now and we are adding new members who will join the fight against attacks on retirement and earned benefits!”

Billy Robinson volunteered to be the temporary organizing chair, while Ellen Shaw took minutes and pictures and will assist him. Those present exchanged contact information and will check on possible permanent meeting places, plus set a regular day and time for the new chapter to meet.
