Austin Retiree Activists Continue Hot Pace
You can’t stop those Austin retiree activists. You can’t even slow them down! They continue taking part in activities that are high in accomplishments for our retiree cause while making more friends for the retiree movement.
Austin TARA Deputy Voter Registrars worked at the ACC Highland Center Campus Program on National Voter Registration Day, September 22. Glenn Scott, Patricia Budak and Marie Drummond registered voters, while Teresa-Perez Wiseley and Cleaburn Zwernemann assisted with set up and refreshments. Senator Kirk Watson was the speaker, along with Travis County Tax Assessor Collector Bruce Elfant.
The Austin TARA Chapter had an information table at the Sun City Dems meeting which featured a special presentation by Social Security Works Executive Director Alex Lawson. There were over 200 people in attendance.
