Rally for Early Voting — With Eight Billion Good Reasons!

Texas seniors and our allies will rally on the first day of early voting at 10 AM Monday October 20, by the Dallas Old Red Courthouse. The deadline for submitting applications for vote-by-mail October 24, but most people will vote at the polls.

Everyone who hopes for kindness from the legislative session that begins in January must work now to elect people who will listen. Mark Cebulski, retiree leader for the American Federal, State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union, told the Dallas AFL-CIO on October 16 that the Employee Retiree System in Texas is EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS in the hole! Tens of thousands of state workers are mobilizing for the present elections! The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans will back them all the way!
